Meet Rebecca Mealer, LMFT
Licensed Family & Marriage Therapist
Rebecca Mealer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California (LMFT 105898) and in the State of Idaho (LMFT-8854). Rebecca specializes in working with individuals, teens, couples, and families who are experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and adverse emotional and relational issues. Since 2015, Rebecca has been clinically treating clients in private practice settings. Once licensed in 2018, Rebecca founded her own private practice, Mealer Family Therapy, APC. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Rebecca converted Mealer Family Therapy to a online-based practice using a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform ensuring confidentiality and safety as the top priorities for the therapeutic work. Since this conversion, Mealer Family Therapy has grown and expanded to serve residents of California and Idaho.
Rebecca's Story
Prior to becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, Rebecca was a full-time teacher for middle school grades for 5 years. She then left the classroom and tutored full-time, supporting children, teens, and their families through the educational system with specific learning challenges. In 2013, she went back to graduate school and earned her Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary’s School of Psychology.

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and two young adult children, watching reality television, reading books, sitting in the sunshine (preferably by a pool or on the beach), drinking a Coffee Bean vanilla latte, scouring the shelves of TJ Maxx or Home Goods, and organizing some drawer that has gone neglected for far too long.

But truthfully, one of Rebecca’s favorite things is sitting with clients and journeying with them in their own story. Filled with curiosity, warmth, and compassion, Rebecca walks with her clients through some of the most chaotic and challenging of situations and experiences with confidence and hope that change is possible, and more realistically probable.
